Juicy Claims

1. Horror movies don't create murderers, although they do fill the thrill humans need to fill their craziness..

2. Watching scary horror films can fill the 'bad' inside all of us, but that doesnt mean we are gong to go out and murder someone when we're out of moves to watch.

3.We are all crazy, we have weird habbits everyday and are always creating new ones, but, we're not all crazy enough to murder like they do in the horror films we all love.

  1. Hi Haley! I can tell that you're interested in using King's essay for your final, which is a great choice! I think what your thesis are missing is a little context about the larger issue. For example, "While many Americans argue that horror movies and other forms of media that represent violent acts negatively impact American youth, encouraging them to act out in their real lives or, at worst, to do violent acts themselves, I would argue that the exact opposite is happening; horror movies actually provide a useful outlet for natural human tendencies." Then, you've explained what the debatable issue is as well as your perspective on it. I look forward to seeing where you take this!
